I love a good “go-to” outfit. You know, those outfits when you don’t want to put any effort into picking out something “different” or “fancy.” I’ve always been about dressing to my mood. Not one who necessarily has a defined style, I dress by feel (and in all honesty that’s really how I operate in most of my life…). I find that when I dress based on my feelings of the moment (which are hopefully always appropriate for the situation) I am more comfortable in my own skin and that always tends to radiate. As my mom always says, “The clothes don’t make the woman, the woman makes the clothes.” So isn’t it necessary that your best accessory be confidence?
In that vain, this outfit was one of those that just felt right. I was having one of those “bloated” days, so boyfriend jeans simply fit the bill. Toss on some heels and a beautiful statement piece (in my case a favorite pair of earrings), and you have a simple, yet comfortable “I’m ready for a night out,” ensemble.
