We traded the scorching Southern California heat for a place that’s been on our bucket list for longer than I can remember: Jackson Hole, WY. Sometimes, a place I’ve built up in my mind doesn’t quite live up to the expectations… but Jackson Hole exceeded them. We were already talking about coming back before we’d even left.
From the moment we landed, we were surrounded by natural beauty. The airport is actually inside Grand Teton National Park (!!), with the Tetons on one side and wide-open plains on the other. Quite the welcome. And once we made our way into town, the fall foliage and charming town square only added to it.
We spent our days exploring and hiking, and our evenings enjoying delicious food, drinks, and time together. And one of my favorite little joys? Crisp mornings that called for an extra layer, followed by mild afternoons. After weeks of relentless heat at home, that alone felt like a vacation.
If Jackson Hole has been on your list, I’d happily move it a little closer to the top. Below, I’m sharing where we stayed, where we ate, what we explored, and everything that came out of my suitcase!
