I’ve always claimed to be a routine-loving person, and for the most part, I truly am.

I love waking up at 5:30 and getting in my workout and breakfast before school drop-off. I love our Friday nights at home after the girls’ flag football games—on the couch with TJ, some music, and a bottle of bubbly. I love slow Sundays. I love knowing what the week ahead looks like.

But every so often, I start craving a little change. Maybe it’s the monotony of an endless summer (even though it’s technically fall), but lately I’ve been ready to mix things up. I’m still TBD on what that looks like, though I’m hoping October will do some of the work for me: cooler weather, a little fall decor, birthday celebrations, Halloween gatherings, and a fun birthday trip for TJ. Usually, a shift in the season brings a fresh burst of creative inspiration along with it.

So as we head into the last few days of September, I’m looking forward to all of it. I’ll still be up at 5:30, of course. I’d just love to put on a sweater sometime soon (or light the fireplace… but I won’t go there yet haha).
