This past weekend’s road trip up the coast brought back many fond memories from childhood. This is a drive we made time and time again as a family, and at times, it can get a little boring and long. Rewind twenty years, when I was ten and Allison was five. My poor parents endured hours of “Are we there yet?” coming from the backseat of the car. As long as the drive felt, we were always comfortable with snacks, tunes (it ranged the gamut from Ace of Base to Phantom of the Opera… we were an eclectic bunch…), and clothing. Let me expound on that last piece. There was always a comfortable outfit laid out for us to make the trek in. Back then it was usually leggings (you know, the stirrup kind) and a cute tee. In college, when we made the road-trips to visit friends in different cities, it was a Juicy outfit (yes, all one color.). Now? Here it is 🙂 Distressed denim shorts, an oversized cardigan, and a perfectly loose top… just in case there is a stop along the way that requires me to look semi-decent 🙂
