Independence Day…the day we celebrate our country’s independence with BBQ’s, the beach, red white and blue, and, if you’re Shannon and TJ, a trip to Cabo. They (ironically enough) whisked away to Cabo for a long and beautiful 4th of July weekend. But wait a minute, you can’t bring a puppy with you to Cabo….enter me. Captain and his favorite Aunt got to spend the 4th of July weekend together, which was something I had actually been looking forward to. I introduced Captain to some very special people, lounged poolside, and even took a brief break and headed down to the beach. It was the quintessential summer: nonstop sun, the smell of sunscreen, beach towels, and, of course, a margarita or two! Independence Day is one of my favorite holidays because it literally seems to capture all of the iconic parts of Summer that I love so much, and I am so glad that this weekend was certainly no excuse!
