2020 (and some a lot of 2021) was the year I gave my jeans a major hiatus… I don’t think they saw anything outside the walls of our house once. So when it came time to actually going out and about again, it’s sort of no surprise that the first pair of jeans I decided to wear were these 90’s high rise jeans…. loose in the legs, not super fitted around the waist… it was a nice re-entry into the world of denim. And while I love a good pair of leggings and joggers, there is just something about a perfectly fitting pair of jeans that pulls an outfit together.
Given that, I’ve rounded up my go-to pairs of denim. Most of them I’ve had for several years, so you’ve seen them before… but this vintage straight jean and these wide legged cropped jeans from Free Assembly are newer pairs that I can’t wait to move into the mix this fall and winter season. Everlane, AGOLDE, Levi’s, and Madewell make some of the pairs I find myself reaching for the most… made to stand the test of time. I think I have all styles covered, but if you’re looking for a good Flare or Skinny jeans those are some great options.
And with that I hope you all have a good weekend ahead!
AGOLDE 90’S JEANS
I tried these 90’s jeans a couple of years ago and sent them back immediately. I figured they were too baggy for short frame… but I couldn’t stop thinking about them. So I gave them a try this summer. After reading the reviews I decided to size down two sizes and they fit is perfect. They’re fitted around the waist and loose around the legs. I did have to cut them a little shorter, as they were still way too long, but they’ve quickly become one of my favorite pairs of jeans.

MADEWELL VINTAGE STRAIGHT JEANS
These vintage straight jeans are a newer pair of jeans to me and they’re amazing. They have a high rise fit, slight stretch to them (so they aren’t rigid), and they are a really soft denim material. They have slight distressing, come in petite, tall, and regular lengths as well. I ended up sizing down in these as well and they fit perfectly (my regular size had a back gap that I wasn’t a fan of). I believe that they’re 20% (or 25% off today)… I’m writing this Wednesday so I could be wrong (if they are, then the sweater and shoes are also on sale).

LEVI’S 724 STRAIGHT CROP
I purchased these Levi’s 724 Vintage Straight Leg jeans two years ago, and while they took a little hiatus during 2020, I can’t wait to bring them out again this fall and winter season. They have a high rise fit, some stretch, and I love the distressing at the ankle (I didn’t have to make any adjustments to the length of these). I ended up going up one size in these, but that’s just because I felt like my regular size was just a little too snug for my liking.
AGOLDE JAMIE JEANS
These are the AGOLDE Jamie jeans, and they were the first pair of denim that I purchased after I have Camille (so back in 2019)… and they quickly became my favorite pair of jeans. These don’t have any stretch to them, but they do stretch slightly over time… and I needed to cut them hem on them as the length was originally too long. They have a straight leg fit, but they aren’t a baggy fit. I purchased one size up in these, but if I were to purchase them again, now, I might end up going with my regular size.

EVERLANE WAY HIGH JEAN
If you like the fit/look of the AGOLDE 90’s jeans, but not the price tag, then these are an excellent alternative. The Everlane Way High Jeans have the high rise fit and wide leg fit. They come in several washes as well. I ended up sizing down in these, but if you want them to have a looser fit, I would stay with your regular size. They do have some slight stretch in them as well.

AGOLDE RILEY JEANS
I bought this pair of AGOLDE white jeans last fall… because I love white in the fall and winter with oversized sweaters and coats. This pair is similar to all the other jeans I’ve mentioned… high waisted, slight stretch, and I went with my regular size.
