Weekend Recap || 13.1

For the past several years, I’ve trained and run for a half marathon during this time of the year. Last year, I was in the middle of training when the pandemic happened… and this year, I started to train with the hope that I’d be able to find a virtual half marathon, but races just pushed to the fall/early part of 2022 (did I just really write 2022???). Given that training in the summer months just isn’t an option, I decided that I’d finish my training and simply run my own, like I did last year.

I woke up Friday morning before the sun rose, laced up my shoes, and took off for a 13.1 mile run…. and when I strolled up to our house on my cool down walk, it felt just as good as if did crossing an actual finish line…

If there is anything that this past year has taught me, it’s that you can’t wait for the “perfect time” in life… you have to go out and create the life and memories you want with the situation that’s in front of you. It might look a little different than you anticipated, but it’s better than waiting, having the time pass you by, and wishing you had!

And with that, I hope you all have a wonderful week ahead!

_________

This short running onesie from last year was restocked… highly recommend if you’re looking for something practical and cute for warm weather workouts…

Wanted to share a few cute ideas for Mother’s Day:

Loving these white gauze shorts + matching top for a more casual look
Love this gauze romper… such a beautiful color….
And this lightweight tan and white dress I shared a few weeks ago is also a good option….
This black swing eyelet dress with a pair of flats would be adorable too…
And pairing a cute flutter sleeve tank with white jeans and slides would be super cute as well…

My favorite ribbed joggers and pullover set is 50% off… I am wearing my regular size for reference.

TJ and I have our first date night in almost 7 months this Friday and I purchased this skirt set and this top + skirt set in white… going to decide which looks better. Decided to get a little dressed up for the occasion!
