Sunday has typically been reserved for family days…. during the summer months they were spent by my parent’s pool, bbq + lounging around. Now that fall has arrived, and football season is in full swing, Sunday afternoons are spent at our place watching some of the games and bbq. Yet soon (and I use this term loosely) the temperatures won’t allow for an afternoon bbq so all the cooking will be done inside. And when it comes to prepping meals inside, when family is present, I typically want to make something simple (so I can spend time socializing) + delicious. So today I rounded five up easy Sunday football meals that are sure to be a crowd pleaser with everyone….
___________
Alright, the first is one that we’ve always loved. A Slow Cooker French Dip Sandwich recipe. Such a hearty choice, full of flavor and always a crowd pleaser!
VEGETARIAN CHILI
One of our favorite chili recipes… and it’s delicious leftover as well….
SALSA VERDE CHICKEN TACOS
These salsa verde shredded chicken tacos in the crockpot can be served any way you please… with tortillas or butter lettuce leaves…. and whatever toppings you want.
STUFFED BELL PEPPERS
I shared these stuffed bell peppers recipe a few weeks ago and we’ve been loving them ever since. Another delicious leftover option.
LOADED SWEET POTATOES
Such a crowd pleaser… always. You can even set these loaded sweet potatoes up like a “sweet potato bar…” and have people pick their own toppings.
