I was recently asked to create a fall capsule wardrobe, similar to the one I created for a summer getaway. For me, a true capsule wardrobe has to consist of items that can seamlessly intermix with pieces you already own to create several, different, looks. Yet, I also find that the only way for me to know if certain items work, and are worth recommending, are to see how much I really wear them, and how many different outfits I can create with them.
Enter these two little black pieces: the bodysuit + cheeky bootcut jeans. Both purchased separately, both have been worn so many different times + ways. I’ve dressed up the jeans for a happy hour in Santa Barbara with a favorite crop tank… dressed them down with a basic white tank and sneakers… and for a casual date night look here…. and the bodysuit pairs nicely with these joggers for a super casual, comfortable, and off duty look. When paired together they work for a business casual office setting (at least they would have worked for my office) or a happy hour out with friends (all depending on accessories).
And so while this post isn’t a full fall capsule wardrobe (working on it… might be more of a fall/winter one…), I think it’s always helpful when you can find pieces here and there that can make getting dressed simple… all while looking pulled together.
