Weekend Recap || Home

“Life is so subtle sometimes that you barely notice yourself walking through the doors you once prayed would open…”

This quote couldn’t sum up this past weekend more. We spent the majority of the weekend moving into our master bedroom… and shifting around other rooms. On Saturday night, when TJ + I were sitting with a glass of wine, we couldn’t help but reflect on the journey that brought us to that very moment….

Our first condo together was 1,080 square feet. When we bought it we assumed we would only be there a few years….
We ended up stayed there for 9 years…
We worked hard to save for this house….
Our offer wasn’t initially accepted on this house… we were the backup offer….
We almost went with a contractor who had no clue what he was doing (instead we ended up with one who did, but was anything but honest…)
It was exactly a year ago that our renovation process started… filled with ups + downs…
We prayed, and prayed, and prayed during the entire journey….

And while there have been many moments throughout my life that I didn’t even recognize that I was walking into something I’d so desperately prayed for.. this moment was not one of them. And when the wall separating our master bedroom from the rest of the house came down, we relished in the sense that we were finally “home.”

I hope you all have a great week ahead! xx

_________

Abercrombie had a sale last week and I found a few cute fall pieces like this leopard print cardigan (love how this print is different from a lot of the other ones out there), crewneck sweatshirt (seriously so soft), and this lightweight v-neck cropped cardigan.

If you live in a place where it’s going to be very cold soon, this scarf looks absolutely amazing. As well as this faux fur sweater coat… seriously so pretty.

If you have family portraits coming up a few beautiful dresses that I like include this oatmeal sweater wrap dress, embroidered dress (I like the Moroccan tile color… I’ve owned this dress for several years), floral maxi dress (in tea), flutter sleeve dress,

Loving the statement sleeve trend + a few cute ones include this puff sleeve sweater, white eyelet sleeve top (own + love), and this v-neck ribbed top (would be great for a date night). I also love this leopard print top (personally own…).

This floral chiffon top would be gorgeous for fall…

A few cute basics that are great for fall include this ribbed turtleneck (the mauve color is beautiful), basic black satin tank for layering, black sweatshirt (50% off with code OMG), and this collarless sweater blazer.

I just purchased this new CC Me Vitamin C serum… I’ve been using it for several days now so I’ll be sure to share my thoughts on it!
