Wellness Wednesday || A New Shaving Experience….

Over the years there have been many items that I’ve borrowed (and might have never returned) from TJ … an oversized white tee while I was pregnant, his insulated mug for my mid afternoon iced tea, wireless headphones for working out, and his razor. Always his razor. With most women’s razors being flimsy + not able to get a close + smooth shave, I’ve always “borrowed” TJ’s to ensure a good shaving experience. Except when his razor clogged from my shaving cream… or my knee + ankles got nicked because his razor couldn’t navigate those close + curvy spots….

Enter the Billie Razor… a razor specifically designed for the way a woman shaves. It’s made with five stainless steel blades, that are appropriately spaced to allow hair + soap to easily pass through (preventing a clogged razer… something TJ was always commenting on when I would use his…). The blade is fully surrounded by charcoal shave soap which enables the razor to float over skin as I shave. In fact, when I first started using the razor, I didn’t think it was getting as close to my skin because it was literally “floating” as I shaved… meaning I didn’t need to push down on my skin as hard as I have with other razors….

I’ve also been using the Billie shaving cream + sudsy body wash. Both are made with natural ingredients + are toxic free (which, as I’ve mentioned several times before, is something I’m trying to move to completely with skin care products…). They use grapefruit, coconut, rosa canina, and aloe vera in both products + they have a top rating in the EWG Skin Deep Database.

Here’s how it works. You get a starter kit with a handle (color of your choice…), magnetic holder, + two five blade cartridges for $9. Then you choose the frequency with which you want 4 replacement blades sent to your door. You can cancel, or skip a shipment, at anytime. So easy… and since I avoid any reason to go to the store with a toddler and baby having these items delivered on a recurring basis makes life so much easier.

So if you’re like I was… using your SO’s razor to get a smooth shave… and are looking for a non-toxic, close + smooth, shaving experience I can’t recommend the ease of the Billie razor.
