One of my favorite things to do is find ways to work statement pieces into my everyday wardrobe. So when I laid my eyes on this beautiful lace bomber jacket back in May, I accepted the challenge. I already knew that I’d be able to wear it across occasions and seasons (well, it’s likely not winter appropriate….) so I gave it a go. I wore it to a brand lunch with jeans + a basic tee…. out in the desert over a fitted dress…. and most recently with these denim shorts + super versatile bodysuit…..

The key to working in any statement piece is to ensure you have great basics… and then let the “wow” factor hit with your desired piece. I love all the basics from this collection. Once you have your base, pick the type of statement you want to make. A few of my favorite ways to do so are with a gorgeous pair of statement making earrings (such beautiful options, also love this pair) with my hair pulled back into a low pony, top knot, or half-up top knot…. with a pair of fancy flats + sandals (loving these gorgeous pearly slides), or with a jacket, like in today’s post….

I guess, what it all comes back to, even when it’s all about making a statements is basic, basic, basic….
