There are a few combinations that pair really well together. Peanut Butter + Chocolate… Red Wine + Chocolate… Sweet Potato Fries + A Turkey Burger… Chips + Guac… just to name a few. Annnd, IMO, when practicable + fashionable come together, it’s the perfect marriage. For those days when you’re over joggers + leggings, but still want to be comfortable running after your little one, going about town, or in your everyday job (I had real casual job working with little kiddos when I was in grad school….)… on those days, I call in four reinforcements to ensure I’m comfortable, practical, yet still stylish….
A Slightly Slouchy Pullover: I’m all for those one shoulder, ruffled, + fitted tops. Love them for a date night and GNO… but, for everyday life, they don’t work for me. Yet, I also have no intention of wearing my old college hoodie (no.). Enter the slouchy pullover. It’s oh so comfortable, effortless, and I’m able to layer it easily over a basic tank + tee.
Distressed Boyfriend Jeans: When they have just the right amount of slouch + just the right amount of distressing they look effortless, and elevate any everyday outfit. I opt for boyfriend jeans because they’re easy to move around in, and don’t feel as constricting as skinny jeans…. I can easily sit on the floor and run after little miss… but I can also transition them to lunch with friends or happy hour libations with TJ with a few simple swaps.
Multi-functional Time Piece: I’ve been wearing this G-Shock G-Series watch for several months now, and shared it in one of my favorite products posts. Since I try to put my phone away as much as possible when I’m with little miss (sometimes easier said than done) I need something to help me keep track of time…. and this stylish watch enables me to do so… all while tracking my steps at the same time (I always love seeing how many steps I take in a day….). It easily takes me from my morning workouts (it has a stopwatch for sprints) to my everyday life… meaning it can be worn sporty with my favorite activewear (seen here, here, + here) or as a practical + fashionable accessory. They come in tons of color options, and I also love the white + champagne color way.
Comfy Kicks: These are always a given in my world, but when you have a cute pair (i.e. not my everyday running shoes….) that you can easily toss on they can take you across occasions… a day at the park, coffee with a friend, or a solo shopping trip. I love pairing mine with distressed jeans, a cute sweatshirt dress, joggers, and cut-offs in the summer.
