Spring Dressing || Top 10 Items For Spring, Under $100

With daylight savings time + the first official day of spring falling within the next two weeks, I can’t help but get a little excited for the longer days, lighter mornings, and more time spent outside. And, with the changing seasons always comes the changing wardrobe. Living in California, a few simple additions are typically all it takes to transition my wardrobe from winter to spring, and today, I am sharing with you my top 10 items for spring, and all under $100 (with the exception of a few, all noted), from Nordstrom. They have such an amazing selection of gorgeous pieces, from lightweight jackets + light wash denim, that will be the perfect compliment to your wardrobe…..

1. Lightweight Sweater: A must for every season, really, but particularly in the warmer months….. when the days are mild and don’t call for anything heavy. This twist back option is one of my favorites, and I love how it can be worn two ways (it’s as if you’re getting two for one….). Some other favorites include this gray (and rose) wrap sweater (which you all know I love), lightweight cardigan (I own in the heather carnation color), and this over $100 open knit sweater (which I snagged for San Diego this weekend…).

2. Light Wash Denim: There is just something about a lighter wash jean that screams spring…. it looks polished with a crisp white blouse, and off duty with your favorite worn in basic v-neck tee. These are one of my favorites, and they fit like a dream. I also love this non distressed option (slightly over $100, comes in petite sizes too), and the over $200 option in this cropped straight leg jeans (I tried these on in store and they fit perfectly).

3. Lightweight Jacket: A great choice when you want to wear a lighter base layer, but don’t need a super heavy top piece. Perfect for cooler spring morning and evenings. My favorite includes this lightwash denim jacket, mauve utility jacket, and this tan boyfriend jersey jacket which can easily be dressed up or down. I also love a suede jacket for spring… particularly in a camel or white shade….

4. Blush Shoes:  There is just something about the color-way that I can’t get enough of…. beautifully feminine and perfect for spring. These bow mules quickly became a favorite when I got them a few weeks ago…. I’ve worn them to happy hour and during the day as well… meaning they easily dress up or down (slightly over $100). I also love these throwback cortez kicks… great paired with jeans and a tee or leggings and a denim jacket. My favorite platform slip-ons were also restocked this year and a great everyday option as well. Another splurge option are these gorgeous, braided, block heel beauties.

5. Gold Accessories: Who am I kidding, these are a staple for me year round…. but during spring, I feel as if they add such a beautiful feminine touch to any outfit. Gorjana is my favorite line (with all the pieces I am wearing today), but I also love star moon and pendant necklace.

6. Neckerchief: Such a beautiful accessory for spring… tie it around your neck as a statement pieces, or around your purse strap…. and even in a messy topknot or half up pony. I love the tiled rosette option.

7. Everyday, Casual Dress: While I don’t buy a ton of dresses these days, I love an easy throw on and go option. One of my all time favorite options is this bodycon dress…. which I’ve had for a couple years and own in gray + coral. It easily pairs with a denim jacket or chunky cardigan… kicks, heels, or slides. Also think this striped long sleeve dress is super casual, comfortable, and perfect for off duty style.

8. Feminine Top: A perfect option for a workday, play day, or night out… and feminine silhouettes are huge this spring. Some favorite options include my favorite eyelet top (featured here), ruffle sleeve tee (restocked from last year), floral ruffle hem top, and pleated blouse.

9. Cozy Loungewear: Well, I always recommend this, but in spring, I like to switch things up with more transitional pieces…. such as this sleep tee +lounge pants.

10. Backpack: We went to Disneyland a couple of weeks ago, and bringing mine was a game changer. Being hands free with little miss is a must… and the backpack was a cute and stylish option to achieve just that. My all time favorite is this one (over $100), but this one is a great option as well!
