{Pretty weekend blooms}

We went into the weekend toying with a few activities… a last minute road trip up to San Luis Obispo was one that we kept revisiting…. yet, when Friday afternoon rolled around, we decided it would be best to stay home and explore locally. Each time we make that decision, I am always amazed at what we can come up with in our own backyard (at the risk of sounding cliché). We opted to head up to LA for the afternoon…. indulging in tacos…. and then balancing it all out with a little kombucha. We laid low for the rest of the time, sipping a little vino, getting in a few good workouts, making a yummy fall soup…. and now that it is Sunday evening, I go into the week feeling rejuvenated and ready for whatever comes my way. That being said, here’s to a week full of possible adventures, and being open to all experiences. Have a good one friends!

I’m going to be adventurous this week and try a new dish… I bought an acorn squash and I am going to try to stuff it with some ground meat and veggies. I found this recipe for basic roasting directions… although I’m a little apprehensive about having to slice the thing….

So, Nordstrom is having their fall clearance sale, and so many of my favorite items, that I personally own, are on sale. I thought I’d share them with you, in case you like them too! My sunglasses that I wear #AllDayEveryDay are currently under $45. This basic tee that I own in grey, and this orange cami are both excellent basics for layering this fall/winter season. The white bell sleeve, ruffle blouse that I wore a few posts back is currently on sale (featured here), as is one of my favorite long-sleeve floral dresses (featured here). My favorite peplum tank, that is perfect layered under a cardigan or leather jacket, is on sale, as is this gorgeous ruffle, lace inset tank. They’re both excellent layering options. Lastly, my favorite high waisted leggings, and super casual distressed tee are both marked down and excellent everyday options.

I made a few purchases this weekend, and love them so much I thought I’d share them with you. I snagged this simple pullover, which comes in several different color options. I also picked up this cozy cardigan, simple v-neck sweater, and this cowl neck tank (which I absolutely love for layering, and for the warmer fall days).

A few items that are currently sitting in my shopping cart include this gorgeous sweater (I love the winter white option), this casual cold shoulder top, these jeans (love the wash), and this asymmetrical, cowl neck top. I’m also wanting a pair of joggers and am debating between this brown option, black striped pair, grey option, or this tan pair…. I think they’re a great alternative to jeans and leggings.

And, since little miss is growing like it’s her job, I’ve picked up a few new items for her. I love these glitter stripe joggers, these cable knit + feather print leggings, and these little ugg booties are just too cute.
