Ever since I was young I can remember heading to the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale with Allison and my mom. We would scour the racks and pick out our back to school clothes… and literally, we couldn’t wear them until school started. My mom had it all figured out… the absolute perfect incentive to get your children excited for heading back to school :). After a couple hours of dressing room trips we would head to their restaurant and mom would treat us to a giant Rice Krispy treat (I’m not exaggerating, they were huge). As we both got older, the sweet treat was replaced by a nice, leisurely lunch, where we enjoyed good company and conversation. And, why would tradition be any different this year? This past weekend, we headed to the sale, perused the pre-sale tents, made a few purchases (grandma and grandpa may have already bought our little one these sparkly little kicks), and enjoyed a lunch of tomato basil soup, Chinese chicken salad, and a margherita pizza… hey, we worked up an appetite!
