Weekend Recap

To say this weekend was busy would be an understatement. Between soccer games, a cheer clinic, a birthday party, and TJ being out of town since Thursday… I am definitely ready to collapse on the couch and unplug my mind with a good book (starting “Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice For Murderers”)….

Yet before I do exactly that, I wanted to quickly share a reminder that I am taking with me into the upcoming week. It’s from Jim Kwik, who is a “brain coach” and author. He writes:

“On the days you only have 40%, and you give 40%, you gave 100%”

And I feel as if it’s the perfect reframe with which to start the week. With that, I hope you have a wonderful day ahead!
_____

(A beautiful, and sunny, weekend…)

(Friday coffee date with my mom and a little shopping… jeans, tank, sweater)

(The fresh eucalyptus from Trader Joe’s is the best…)

(A mellow Friday night with friends to close out the week….)

(Hard to believe there are only 3 more soccer games left of the season….)

(All about comfort for our Saturday mornings at the field… leggings, top, jacket)

(Favorite spot to unwind after soccer games… Flower Child with the family…)

(A little morning out with the girls… donuts and manicures were on the agenda….)

(Comfortable Sunday outfit… joggers, tank, bag, shearling sandals (ITSYBITSYINDULGENCES10 for 10% off))

(And ending the weekend with a family movie night… this is our first season watching “The Nightmare Before Christmas” and it’s become a favorite…)

_______

SHOPBOP is having their annual Fall Style Event Sale, and while I’ll have a full, comprehensive, post up tomorrow with everything I own and recommend, I wanted to share a few below today:

This ribbed long sleeve top is so good for the cooler weather… it’s a great, soft, ribbed material and not see through at all… (also my favorite basic tank…)
This sweater vest and striped black and white sweater I wore/took to Carmel… love that both can be dressed up or down…
This reversible black jacket… which I took to Carmel, but it was a tad too warm to wear…
The fall paisley dress I wore in Carmel… I think it would be beautiful for fall family photos…
A few pairs of jeans that I love include this cream pair, straight leg option, and ivory wide legged pair (which are so versatile for fall and winter)
This felt fedora and this ribbed chestnut colored beanie, which are great fall accessories…

Jenni Kayne is also having 20% off through the 18th…. I always recommend this oversized cashmere cocoon cardigan, the cotton fisherman sweater, this everyday sweater, and these shearling clogs (I bought them last year and can’t wait to wear them again)…. no code needed, discount in cart.
