9 Real-Life Outfits I Wore Recently Using My Go-To Outfit Formulas

If there’s one thing I’ve learned over the years, it’s that getting dressed became so much easier when I stopped trying to reinvent the wheel every morning.

For a long time, I thought great style meant constantly finding new pieces, creating completely different outfits, or always trying to make things feel “interesting.” Yes, that started to feel overwhelming and the older I get, the more I realize that the women whose style I’m most drawn to typically rely on a handful of simple combinations that they repeat in different ways over and over again.

And honestly? That’s become the foundation of my wardrobe as well.

I shared a post recently about the outfit formulas I rely on most often (you can find the original post, with the formulas here). So today I wanted to expand on that idea and show how these formulas actually translate into real life. The combinations I continue to reach for time and time again to make getting dressed a cinch.

Why Outfit Formulas Make Getting Dressed Easier

I think one of the biggest misconceptions about style is that having great style means constantly wearing something completely different.

In reality, I think personal style is often built through repetition.

It’s noticing the silhouettes, proportions, colors, and combinations you consistently feel best in and then learning how to repeat them in slightly different ways. That’s ultimately what creates a wardrobe that feels cohesive and easy rather than overwhelming.

For me, outfit formulas remove decision fatigue completely.

Instead of standing in my closet trying to create something entirely new every day, I already know the combinations that work for my lifestyle, body type, and personal style. Then I simply rotate pieces within those formulas depending on the season, occasion, or mood.

It’s less about chasing trends and more about creating consistency.

And honestly, I think that’s why these outfits continue to feel timeless to me.

Final Thoughts

At this point in my life, my goal is having pieces that truly work for me.

Pieces that can be reworn.
Pieces that mix easily together.
Pieces that feel elevated but still practical for everyday life.

These formulas may be simple, but they’re the combinations I genuinely come back to again and again because they make getting dressed feel effortless rather than complicated.

And in my opinion, that’s really the goal.
