The first weekend after dipping our toes back into the school routine was exactly what we needed. With nothing on the agenda except for a fun birthday celebration for my dad… we spent the majority of it moving slowly and letting the days unfold.

It’s funny, when I was in my 20’s and 30’s a slow weekend was something I would avoid at all costs. We only had two days off, and I wanted to max it out. Yet as I’ve gotten older, and I do think partly because of all the COVID downtime (if there’s a silver lining to anything from that time period), I’ve come to appreciate a slower pace of life. One where my nervous system feels relaxed, shows up at places where it stays at homeostasis, and values quality over quantity. Saying no more often, and yes to the things that really matter.

All of that to say, I hope everyone had a good weekend and has a great start to their week.
