I’m a very seasonal person. In the summer, I love the longer days, warm weather, and the smell of sunscreen that permeates our backyard. And in the fall, specifically around daylight savings time, I enjoy the shorter days, cozy fires in the fireplace, and the chilly mornings and nights (the days are still a little “spring” like over here, haha)…
And with the passing of Halloween last Thursday, we spent Sunday afternoon packing up the skeletons and spooky garland, and brought out some of the more traditional “fall” decor… my favorite magnolia leaf garland, rattan pumpkins, and swapped out my black candles for ivory ones. There is something special about these few weeks between Halloween and Thanksgiving, that I can’t quite articulate, but that these simple decor swaps helped remind me of.
With that, I hope everyone had a restful and full weekend, and here’s to a good start to this coming week ahead.
____
(A Friday family lunch to start the weekend… jeans, cashmere sweater ($50, went up 2 sizes for looser fit))
(A cozy Friday night, in the softest pajamas, with the first fire of the season…)
(A chilly Saturday at the soccer fields… jumpsuit (wearing “short” size and HGCxSPANX for 10% off))
(After a rainy Saturday afternoon, a beautiful Sunday morning school fundraiser run….)
(A little Sunday night football to close out the weekend…)

I found these adorable rattan Christmas trees from Target, and plan to put them on our fireplace mantle…
This oversized denim shirt jacket that I’ve included in fall capsules is back in stock…
I shared this a while ago, but the aspen color from Vuori is the prettiest forest green shade… and they just launched this amazingly soft long sleeve tee and wide legged pants in the colorway. Pants are short gal friendly in the “short” sizing (I own them in the ivory color).
Varley launched their new winter collection and it’s amazing. I love the black version of my fair isle sweater I wore several times in Montana, and I’ve been waiting for them to launch a wide legged pant in their amazing Doublesoft material and they did (and they come in shorter and longer inseam options)… plus the color of this sherpa vest is amazing (so rich and perfect for fall)… Can’t wait for these items to arrive.
We’re going to Park City for our annual pre-Thanksgiving trip in 3 weeks, and I love these metallic hiker boots…
If you’re looking ahead to holiday style, I found some beautiful pieces, like this black lace bodysuit, velvet bustier strapless top, merlot colored maxi slipdress, herringbone tights (cute if you want something festive paired with a LBD), red lace top, and this cute tartan bow (another festive touch if you want to keep the outfit simple in all black).
