Weekend Snaps

Monday morning hit like a ton of bricks… and to say it didn’t get the week off to the best start would be an understatement. Nothing life shattering, but just one of those mornings where the flow was off. I immediately called my mom after school drop (yep, still 40 and still call my mom when things go awry), shifted my mindset, and remembered that most things in life are temporary and brief, and come and go (including the somewhat chaotic morning).

I actually share the below list almost a year ago, and referred to it this morning. It’s a simple list of 10 ways to turn a bad day around, and thought I would share it here, in case anyone else experienced a similar Monday… or as a save for future reference.

10 Ways To Turn Around A Bad Day

Get Outside
5 minute gratitude meditation
Call a good friend
Smile at a stranger
journal 5 things you’re grateful for
snuggle your pet
Watch something funny to get in a good laugh
Listen to your favorite song
Color- sounds funny for adults, but trust me on this one
Ask for a hug
Move your body- walking, dancing, cycling, etc…

And with that, I hope everyone has a good week ahead!

(A gloomy start to the weekend)

(Friday field day for the girls and then a coffee date… pants, tank, jacket, sneakers)

(A Saturday of soccer, lunch, and errands… sweatshirt, shorts, sneakers)

(Cutest skeleton muffin tins to kick of autumn and the Halloween Season…)

(A cozy outdoor dinner at home…)

(A little Sunday home improvement… didn’t come home with any pumpkins yet… but it sure was tempting!)

Some great sales happening right now that I’m sharing below:

Saks friends and family sale is 25% off a wide range of new arrivals:
These Rag & Bone jeans in the perfect ecru wash (wearing them above) and these denim wash jeans in the softest material are both included. They’re a “cropped” fit, but are full length for me.
This brown Lack of Color hat is beautiful for fall (the perfect wide brim)
Oversized polo sweatshirt is so soft, oversized, and comfortable (pictured above).
My red Eberjey pajama set... I bought this last winter and it’s so perfect for lounging and sleeping…
And this perfect slub cotton tee… I have it in the khaki and love it.
These drawstring jeans look so comfortable (don’t own these)

Bloomingdale’s Friends + Family Sale (25% off) is also going on right now, and I picked up a couple of items for our upcoming trip to Montana:
This faux shearling vest will be beautiful layered over so many different tops and dresses….
and this faux shearling/suede jacket is in the most beautiful chocolate brown shade…
this cropped cashmere cardigan that I purchased last fall in 3 colors is back in stock and on sale. I can’t recommend it more- so soft and the perfect fit.
and this cashmere wrap that I’ve had for 4 seasons is 25% off… I can’t recommend this more (and it’s a great gift as well).

So many great UGGs for the upcoming cool weather season…
I love this clog pair (more sizes + colors here)
These platform Taz slippers are in the prettiest shade
and I love this ultra minis in a light olive shade, and these platform ultra minis as well.

And lastly, one of my go-to black and white stripe cotton sweaters from last season was restocked. I was able to wear it earlier last week in the morning and love the fit.
