If there is one beauty product we’ve used the most this summer season, it has to be sunscreen. I feel as if every week we’re going through a bottle (if not more frequently), and over the years we’ve come to rely on a few tried and true brands… becoming our favorites through a combination of consistency, coverage, smell (I am so sensitive to fragrance scents), and how it feels once applied to the body. So I thought I’d share a quick round-up of them here….
And as we prep to head into another summer weekend (this one is forecasted to a be “scorcher” for us…) I hope everyone has a good few days ahead. We’ll be celebrating my sister’s birthday (early, enjoying time outside, and just seeing how to weekend unfolds. See you Monday!
______
TULA PROTECT + GLOW
I first tried the TULA line last summer. I had received it as a sample, realized we had run out of sunscreen, so I gave it a try, and was obsessed after first use. It isn’t sticky, dries nicely, and provides your skin with the prettiest glow. I wore it during our time in Hawaii and it gave us great protection from the strong Hawaiian sun-rays.
VACATION
This sunscreen basically feels like vacation in a bottle- one of my favorites primarily for the amazing smell, which literally takes me back to sitting on the beach. This was another sunscreen that I received as a sample and fell in love with. It’s consistency is slightly thicker than the TULA line, but still dries very nicely and doesn’t feel sticky at all. It’s clean ingredients as well, as also comes in a spray bottle.
SUPERGOOP
I first tried Supergoop’s Glow Stick a couple of summer’s ago and loved the beautiful, sheen, glow it gave to my face and shoulders (along with the protection)… so I decided to try the other sunscreen products for the body, and found them to be just as good. They’re lightweight, maybe the lightest of the 3 I’ve shared here, and they give great sun protection. The bundle is still available at the Nordstrom Sale.
SUNBUM GLOW 30
The SunBum Glow is a new, this season, find. I love the tint it gives to my skin, while still providing excellent sun protection. It’s a thin consistency, so it rubs in nicely, and a little goes a long way. And we are also fans of the sunscreen lotion.
