I went back and forth as the whether or not I should do a capsule for the month of June… mainly because I didn’t get the time to put one together before we left, and then I didn’t know if it would be too far in the month by the time I got around to putting it together. My motto has always been better late than never… so here we go with June’s capsule!
Since June is the first month of summer, this is one of the biggest swap out capsules of the year… I took out top layers (think the trench coat,), sweats (sweatshirts included), and heavy sweaters (except for the cardigan) and swapped in linen shorts, lightweight tops, and a breezy dress. As I mentioned, I kept the oversized ribbed cardigan in the collection, mainly because I think it’s a great piece to have on hand for cool mornings or evenings (we get some June Gloom here in So. Cal, and it’s a good layer for a couple of hours… or if we’re down at the beach in the evenings). So I might not have included it in all the outfits below, but it’s versatile enough that it will go with any of the outfits if you need it…
I also tried to take pieces that you could wear to the pool as well… like this striped button down can be worn as a cover-up, fully buttoned as a dress, or front tucked into shorts for a casual daytime outfit. I’ve tossed on these linen shorts over a swim suit as well, so they’re another versatile piece….
And I added in a a pretty little white ruffle top, because I always think those make such a great summer staple… and this one is so lightweight and pairs wonderfully with the items already included…
