We had a weekend that was a nice balance between rest and productivity… an impromptu date night on Friday night (which is always a nice reprieve from parental responsibilities), a Saturday spent by the pool, and then a Sunday morning getting things prepped and ready around the house for the week ahead, and then a Super Bowl get together at my parent’s house.

It reminded me of a quote I saw last week from inspirational author Michell C Clark:

“It’s okay to be tired, today. It’s okay to take things slow. It’s okay if today isn’t super productive. Your existence is enough. Give yourself grace. Give yourself permission to rest. We are not machines.”

And I wanted to share it here as we embark on yet another week. I hope everyone has a good few days ahead!

(Warm temps called for pulling out my favorite cut-offs for the first time this year…. they’ll get packed away for two days this week as the temps drop and the rain comes… tee, cardigan (also this one))

(It was a 90 degree Saturday, so we made our favorite bubbly on ice beverages and parked ourselves in the pool…. satin cover-up shorts (purchased last year, on sale now), suit (sold out, linked a similar one), visor)

(Then a Saturday night family movie night outside… homemade pizza on the menu…)

(Headed to the watch the Super Bowl…. shorts, tee, bag)

(I’m always in charge of the nachos… decided to go all out this time around… pickled onions are a game changer…)

My favorite Barefoot Dreams blanket is 40% off… I use it nightly… it’s so warm and comfortable… and my favorite large cheese board was restocked as well (we use it for everything)…

These two banded sandals that I’ve had for two seasons now were restocked in the sands, black, and snakeskin… so easy to toss on with leggings, and for warmer days when you’re heading to the beach, lake, pool, etc….

Backcountry is having an end of season sale and this olive green lightweight puffer vest and this plush pull over are great finds…

Our favorite, large + plush, beach towels were recently restocked. We have them in the light pink stripe and navy stripe… We’ve had them for two seasons now, and they’re still in really good condition.

I just purchased this button down gauze maxi cover-up for a trip we have coming up in March…

One of my favorite, oversized, ribbed half zip sweaters was recently restocked in the prettiest sage color… a great spring option… or this one in the henley style… the color is beautiful.

These heels look like such a cute option for date night… love the puffy leather strap and the quilted footbed looks super comfortable… they’re also 40% off. I’m looking at them in white.
