Before the pandemic started we used to head down to the beach and have lunch every Saturday afternoon. One Saturday there was a little pink electric boat parked at the docks, available to rent, and Harper fell in love. She couldn’t stop talking about the “pink boat” and how much she wanted to take it for a ride. So when we went back to the same spot as a family, for the first time a couple of weeks ago, she spotted the same little pink boat and has been talking about it non-stop since… and last Friday we rented it and headed out, as a family, for a sunset cruise in the harbor. To say it was fun would be an understatement. It was something we had on our 2020 bucket list, and now it’s something we’ve already booked again for later in the summer….
It reminded me how fun it was to explore and adventure in our own city…. seeing the girl’s smiles, making memories with our entire family, and hearing Harper talk about it repeatedly this entire weekend made the wait well worth it. And while I don’t wish to relive 2020 ever again (or the beginning of 2021) it did instill within me a permanent appreciation for everything I took for granted… a weekend like this included (and one I’ll never forget).
I hope everyone has a great week ahead!

If you’re looking for some cute 4th of July items, I love these striped gingham shorts, little gingham dress, blue and white check maxi dress (I have had this one for 3 years…), gingham button down coverup, white flowy two piece set, graphic sweatshirt (so so soft), white ruffle dress, and this red bandana is great as a head wrap or hair tie with an all white outfit.
A few cute, under $80 items I think are super cute include these pull-on shorts (sustainably made), linen blend shirtdress, and this sustainably made shirred cami (would be super cute for a date night).
And a few fun outdoor things for the family that we’re loving include this bubble maker (it’s amazing), rainbow picnic blanket, these squids for diving in the pool (Camille loves them), and this blow up rainbow ball.
KiwiCo has some great summer STEAM activities for the kiddos… I love this crate pack for Camille + for Harper, as well as this cake decorating kit, and paleontology kit. Or you can get 30% off your first month here.
