(After five straight days of rain, I had to document the sun shining again….)
Coming in a little late with my weekend recap over here, but really wanted to enjoy the Easter holiday and be present with the family as we tried to do as many traditions as possible, given the current state. We hid eggs, found eggs, repeat that over + over again, had a delicious brunch (at home), streamed church (always my favorite sermon of the year), and given that it was a dreary day, we tried to get creative with games inside…
I actually woke up Easter morning feeling relatively emotional, for various reasons. Yet as I watched our sermon, I was reminded that Easter is all about renewal, having faith, and maintaining hope. Faith + hope that we will all get through this together. Faith + hope that the “new normal” will be what it’s meant to be. And faith + hope that I learn + take something away from this time spent safe at home.
I hope you all (those of you who celebrate) had a beautiful Easter. Have a great week everyone.
(Whipped up a refreshing rosé spritz + then we took it outside to enjoy the beautiful Good Friday sunset. A reminder of God’s presence. joggers, tank)
(Our Saturday morning ritual…)
(Spent all day Saturday outside + ended it with a little take-out pizza + pinot… pants, tee, pendant lights)
(A simple Easter spent searching for eggs, + delicious at home brunch, and watching my favorite service of the year from home. Also thankful for camera clickers so we could snap this family photo…. girl’s jumpsuits, my pullover, pants)
_________
We’ve made two batches of this banana bread over the last two weeks… no sugar added (sweetened by the banana) and it’s absolutely delicious.
A few super cute loungewear items that are on sale (that I own) include these white shorts + distressed pullover, as well as this mauve cami. Could mix the cami with the shorts as well.
I showed these blush sweatpants above, but they’re seriously so comfortable. If you’ve liked the white joggers I’ve been wearing (The Great or Athleta brand both sold out) then this same pair comes in white and I can’t recommend them more. Super comfortable.
West Elm is having a 20% off of everything sale and I wanted to share a few of our home items that are included that we have been super happy with: these leather counter stools (they’re great with kiddos, clean super easily), our sectional couch (we went with extra depth), dresser, and these floating reclaimed wood shelves (we have these in both of the girl’s rooms…).
I love white interiors, but being in our house 24/7 lately had me wanting to add some color. I purchased these throw pillows when they were on sale and love them. They’re on the larger side, which is perfect for our deep couch.
Elemis has some of my favorite skincare products, and they’re currently 25% off. I’m a huge fan of their pro-collagen rose cleansing balm, pro-collagen marine cream, + plumping pillow facial.
And, a few other skincare favorites I’ve been relying heavily on lately include this organic tanning lotion (gives a very subtle glow, which is nice during this time), facial tanning drops (I use the light/medium in the winter/spring), and this necessarie body exfoliator (10% off with code Shannon10). I am also wanting to try the Summer Fridays new lip butter balm…
