Friday (insert praise emoji here…)! We’ve been out of town the past couple of weekends so we’re looking forward to a full weekend at home just being lazy. We have a date night planned for Saturday evening, but other than that we will likely do fun things like clean out the garage (again) and start on taxes (fun.). I hope you all have a great weekend ahead!
Sharing my favorite products from January below… again, you’ve seen many of these items in my capsule wardrobes over the past two months, but they’re just that good……
White Bodysuit: I own this bodysuit in the black + snakeskin colors, so I knew it would be equally as good in the white. I added white for spring/summer and it’s perfect. A thicker material, so it’s not see through, and it has an excellent amount of stretch.
Jockey Half-Zip: I got this at the beginning of the NY and have worn it several times a week since. It’s the perfect layering option for my morning runs and you can easily layer underneath it for added warmth. Other features I appreciate: the thumb holes + that the half-zip has the option to cover my neck. I own it in black but it also comes in three other color options.
Splendid Stripe Tee: Another item that was included in my February capsule wardrobe, but it’s so good. I love the tan + white stripes as an alternative to navy/blue or black/white. The material has a nice stretch to it and it goes with so many options in my closet.
Mesh Top: My go-to for a date night. You can easily pair it with denim or black jeans to make the outfits look different. It’s comfortable (nice and stretchy) + a little edgy at the same time.
Jenni Kayne Long Sweater Coat: As I’ve mentioned several times before, this was an investment piece I purchased at the beginning of January… and I think out of the past 35 days I’ve worn it, in some capacity, 25 of those days (we had a heat wave for about a week….). Anyway, the material is amazing, so I know it will last for seasons to come…. it’s so cozy and was just the length I was looking for. It goes with everything in my closet, and I knew it was a smart investment. I do think this sweater is a wonderful option as well (I actually didn’t see it when I was looking for this type of sweater coat…) but if you are interested in this one code Natalie20 will get you 20% off (that’s what I used!).
Z Supply Cotton Terry Pullover: Another closet staple that I wear at least several times a week. It’s seriously such an easy throw on and go option that can seamlessly work over a dress, with high waisted leggings, as a lounging piece, and with jeans. I went up to a size small for reference.
Everlane Alpaca Sweater: I styled this sweater in this post, and included it in my February capsule wardrobe as well! The selling point on this sweater is that it can easily be worn with the v-neck in the front or back. It does run small, in my opinion, and to achieve the slouchy fit I went up two sizes to a medium.
Cosmetic Travel Case: I’d had the same travel cosmetics case for over 6 years and it was starting to wear. I found this marble case and love it! It has interior dividers that can be adjusted to accommodate the products I am bringing. It’s a hard case so I know that the contents will always be protect. The best part is the price point, under $30.
Airpod Case: I received airpods as a Christmas gift this year (absolutely love them, btw) and I immediately purchased this carrier case. I own it in the leopard color, but the marble color-way is equally as cute.
Silicone Reusable Straws: In an attempt to be more cognizant of our single use plastic consumption, I purchased these silicone straws at the beginning of the year. They’re a huge hit in our house and come with a super convenient travel case so that you can bring them along when you’re out and about.
Bamboo Drawer Organizers: I mentioned in this post that I went on a crusade this year to get our home more organized/orderly. I ordered these organizers and they’re amazing. You can customize your needs based on drawer sizes and they look really nice as well. Highly recommend!
2020 Planner: I am still old school and like to have my planners in paper form… there is something about writing it down and easily being able to flip through pages that I prefer. This one is great. It has full calendar spread and then it breaks the weeks down and has ample room to write out to-do lists as well. It’s a hard cover and a decent size, which I prefer.
Necessaire Body Lotion: I ran out of my Kopari lotion several months ago and decided to try something new. I went through several different body lotions with no success (I wanted something non-scented which is why I moved away from Kopari). Then I tried Necessaire and was sold. It’s a great consistency… thick without feeling sticky on the body. It also makes my skin feel super soft, which was the ultimate goal. Highly recommend if you’re in the market!
RMS Bronzing Powder: In my quest to move all my cosmetics to clean + non-toxic I went on the hunt for a new bronzer right after Christmas (my previous one has run out). The make-up artist at Sephora highly recommended the RMS line and I really love it. It’s highly pigmented, so I little goes a long ways, but it achieves the “soft glow” look perfectly!
Tatcha Illuminating Eye Treatment: This was recommended to me by someone on instagram and I love it! It’s clean and does a fantastic job brightening up my under eye area. I don’t use it as a concealer, so I apply this and then use my concealer over it. Highly recommend!
Lawless Eyeshadow Pallet: I was looking for a warm shade eyeshadow palette and this one from Lawless is excellent. I can create so many different looks…. it’s perfect for daytime and I can easily use some of the darker shades for an evening look as well.
Quai Dry Texture Foam: After taking another few inches off of my hair I decided to try some new product for styling. While I don’t use this daily, I do use it as my hair gets dirtier to create texture + volume. I’ve been really happy with it so far!
