Weekend Recap || Flexibility

I sometimes find that as I reflect on a week one word can quickly come to mind to sum it all up. For the past 7 days “flexibility” would have to be that word for us. With TJ out of town the beginning of last week, and Camille seemingly going through some sort of sleep regression, we had to have flexibility in how we managed our evenings… and then as we headed into the weekend we had great hopes for a fun date day hike on Monday, but both girls came down with nasty colds (Harper a low grade fever) Sunday evening…..

And while it would be really easy to see these events are major blips in the week, I try to view them as opportunities to be flexible… and maybe small gifts from above. Camille’s teething led to more cuddles… Harper’s fever led to more cuddles + laying low (something we can always benefit from)… and both required a lot of teamwork of TJ + I to get through it without going wild (or more wild than life already was). With a little flexibility I’ve always found I’ve been able to turn a challenging situation into one where everyone gains somehow….

So, here’s to a week of flexibility friends! xx

(Loooong week, a little bubbly to cap it off…. top (other eberjey favorites), pants)

(Cutest little flower stand… picked up some dried flowers for a vase that still had Christmas decorations in it….)

(Lunch at our current go-to, Zinqué…. the le bowl is delicious)

(She loved these little boats….)

(My go-to casual basics for lunch…. tee (Anine Bing has the cutest graphic tees), coatigan, leggings)

(Canceled our evening out for a date night in….)

(Sunday comfies for an afternoon of football… tee, joggers)

(Two sick kiddos…. one long night…. and two parents surviving on caffeine… leggings, pullover, TJ’s joggers, pullover, sneakers)

One of my favorite pairs of raffia slides were just restocked… so beautiful for spring + summer and super comfortable as well!
____________

I shared our shopping list + meals for the week in this post if you want to follow along!

Jeffrey Campbell always has the cutest shoes, and I love this embellished pair for a warm weather getaway + this crisscross pair is so simple and pretty.

I have been finding myself gravitating more towards whites and creams lately and a few tops have caught my eye. Loving this eyelet blouse, flutter sleeve top, pullover casual top, + this cashmere crop.

Currently in the process of trying to find some good bras for my deflated post nursing boobs… ordered this seam-free bralette and hoping it works!

I just ordered this non-toxic eye shadow pallet (loving it!) + this under-eye concealer (recommended by someone on instagram) and can’t wait to try it!

Beyond Yoga has some of the cutest new activewear…. like this grey leopard print crop + matching leggings (I’ve always loved how soft their leggings are)…. also love this cropped workout top from lululemon…

My go-to All Saints leather jacket is currently on sale. I can’t recommend it more. The leather is so so soft.

This under $50 mock-neck sweatshirt (loving the leopard and blue) is adorable!

We’re heading to Santa Barbara this coming weekend for a little family getaway… we don’t have much on the agenda (except one morning at the zoo…) which I’m really looking forward too. I already have most of my outfits picked out + trying to pack very smartly with items I already own…. As of right now I’m thinking about this oversized sweater dress, cashmere baby tee, alpaca sweater, faux leather joggers, suede motto jacket, oversized white tee, favorite straw hat, jeans (undetermined on which pair) and that’s all I have so far….
