Holiday Style || The Sequin Jacket 3 Ways

So, I chopped my hair. And it feels fresh, healthy, and I feel as if all the postpartum balding isn’t as noticeable. Something new for the holiday season and I’m fully here for it….

Also new for this season is this sequin jacket (sold out but this one is almost identical). When we went Black Friday shopping I saw so many beautiful + fun holiday items… velvets, sequins, flirty dresses, + bold prints. I had to stop and ask myself what our holiday calendar looked like. After running through our agenda, I determined that we had one “fancy-ish” get together, and that the rest of the events are relatively casual gatherings with family + friends. That deduction crossed off all the flirty little dresses. I ordered this sequin jacket before we went to Park City, thinking it would be the perfect “festive” piece to take me seamlessly across holiday fêtes. I went back + forth when I was debating whether or not to buy it, and decided that I could easily find three different ways to wear it… and now here we are. The three ways I would style this fun + festive jacket….

All of the ways are still relatively casual… but I wanted an item that could also work post holiday season…. which is why I was diligent in mixing it with pieces I already owned. I’d easily wear the all black look to a dinner out, the jeans + white tank look to a celebration with friends at home, + the casual graphic tee + faux leather legging outfit to a festive brunch… or just for a fun casual look post holidays…..

And if you’re looking for some additional seasonal inspiration, I love everything in this “party picks” shop… especially this sequin skirt (but for sure not with that green jacket….). BB Dakota always has some of my favorite holiday pieces… like this figure flattering dress. I also absolutely love this “dance floor” top, simple camisole with a touch of sequins, sequin romper, or maybe just this simple sequin headband for a touch of glam.

Also, can I just note that I actually used to be able to run in shoes as high as the heels I’m wearing today? I think I wobbled over to the table in them for these photos… oh how times have changed!
