Everyday Beauty || An Easy, Everyday, Glowing Make-Up Routine

I still recall the first time I demonstrated an interest in make-up… I believe I was in eighth grade… and my mom told me that they key to makeup was to have it accentuate your already beautiful features… not to cover them up. That’s always stuck with me… and is a message I hope to convey to little miss someday. I’m always grateful to my mom for showing me the ropes of how to apply make-up, and remove it properly to prevent breakouts… and for introducing me to the Lancôme counter at Nordstrom…. it’s where she took me to pick out my first lip gloss… and a spot I still visit when I’m looking to try out new shades for different seasons, or to just add in a new product to my switch up my “everyday” rotation. The beauty selection at Nordstrom is amazing… all my favorite brands in one place….

On a recent visit I decided to give my “everyday” make-up routine a little boost and mix in a few new products. I hit up the Lancôme counter for some of their beautiful eyeshadow and lip gloss shades…. and today I’m showing you an easy way to get an “everyday glow” with a few simple steps.
______________

(Product Details || Top | Jeans | Blush (color: MIEL GLACE) | Highlighter Powders | Bronzer  | Setting Powder | Eyeshadow (color: BRONZE AMOUR) | Eyebrow Pencil | Mascara Primer | Mascara (color: BLACK)| Eye Liner (color: CHOCOLAT) | Lipstick (color: HAUTE NUDE) | Lipgloss (color: NUIT & JOUR)

The products above are a few that I will be adding to my base…. which you can see below. In the photo I’m just wearing foundation, concealer, and bronzer…..

To start, I added the blush to my cheeks. I was looking for a neutral shade, something that would give me a subtle color and I was really happy with the Miel Glace shade. The blush isn’t super pigmented, so you don’t have to worry about applying too much, which I always appreciate. After I applied the blush to my cheekbones, I moved on to the highlighting powders…. I used the starlight pink on my cheekbones + the shimmering buff on the bridge of my nose. I loved the glow it gave my face.

I then moved onto my eyes with this bronze eyeshadow palette. I applied the light blush color all over the eye area, the bronze color to the corner of the lids, and the darker shade the the crease. The golden color was applied to the corner of my eyes to wake them up (worked so well), and then I used the liner color to line the bottom lash line (I did this by wetting a liner brush and then dipping it into the eyeshadow). It gave a soft, subtle, smokey effect. I lined the top of my eyes with a thin line of this liquid liner. It was super easy to apply and I liked the subtle look of the chocolat shade.

My last step for the eyes was to apply mascara. I’d heard so many great things about Lancôme’s lengthening + defining mascara so I decided to give it a try. It didn’t disappoint. It definitely gave my lashes extra length!

And lastly I applied a beautiful nude lipstick + gloss combo. I’m not a huge fan of a lot of color on my lips, so this was just the perfect shade to give my skin life, but still keep with my nude lip color obsession.

Thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post.
