(My favorite Christmas Tree of the season….)
Holiday weekends are always my favorite… there is just something in the air… and this past weekend wasn’t any different. We had homemade cinnamon rolls Thanksgiving morning, went around the table and said what we were thankful for this year (so many things….), watched “Christmas Vacation,” not once, but twice… did a little Black Friday shopping…. and visited a Christmas tree lot to kick off the Christmas season….
I always love this time of the year because it’s a time that is rich and deep in traditions. I can still recall so many of my childhood holiday memories revolving around traditions my family instilled… and as Harper grows up + our family grows, this season we plan on introducing her to more of them… as well as creating our own. From baking the same homemade sugar cookies we’ve been making for over 20 years…. to visiting the same street with amazing Christmas lights… and listening to Christmas music non-stop in the car…. traditions are what ground us, root us, and remind us of where we came from, and where we are going…..
So, as we head into this festive holiday season, whether you celebrate Christmas, Hanukkah, or Kwanza, or another holiday I might be missing, I hope the next few weeks are filled with reliving traditions and possibly creating new ones. Have a wonderful week friends! xx

Well, that was a seriously indulgent weekend… so delicious though! Getting back into clean eating this week with this oatmeal bake (super easy for the mornings), chocolate protein smoothie (I now use frozen zucchini + Tone It Up protein), vegetarian chili (we’re supposed to have some cool evenings this week), and these salsa verde crockpot chicken tacos.
So, apparently it’s Cyber Monday (#kidding….)… and I wanted to share with you a few good deals….
Gorjana is offering 20% off their entire site. This is, hands down, one of my favorite jewelry lines (has been for years)…. and her pieces make wonderful gifts (I gift them all the time….). My go-to pieces include the crescent necklace I wear all the time (and one of my most asked about pieces), dainty star necklace (my sister got this for me for my birthday several years ago…), small horn necklace, beautiful palm ear crawlers, gold cuff bracelet, and this beaded bracelet with a gold bar.
LOFT (and all the Lou & Grey goodness on their site) is having 50% off the entire store with code CYBER. Over the weekend I purchased this poncho (great for layering in these cooler temps) + camel duster cardigan (can’t wait to wear it with my Spanx leggings + a white top….). Favorites that I already own include this super soft eyelash sweater, oh-so-soft joggers, and this sweater dress. My mom bought these slippers and they look, and feel, just like my EMU pair for a fraction of the price….
Anthropologie typically has 25% off on CYBER Monday (I’m doing this the evening before….)…. on Black Friday I snagged this super soft knit zip-up, holiday perfect sweatshirt, and these coasters (that won’t break!!).
Annnd a few other random sale favorites…. I love these studded booties (on sale)…. they’re a great way to make a statement with a basic/neutral outfit… and my one of my favorite basic v-neck tees is on major sale. I’m also looking at these tri-colored workout leggings (I own one other pair like this and love them), and these wrap bracelets + pendant necklace (featured here) are 50% off with code CYBER.
