As per tradition, my mom, sister, and I headed out to the mall mid morning for a little Black Friday shopping… we went in one store, grabbed lunch (as if we didn’t have enough leftovers at home….), and headed home. With the crowds growing, we decided to go back, turn on some Christmas music (preferably Mariah Carey + Michael Bublé please…), change into comfies, + do any holiday/sale shopping from the comforts of our own home…. an equally, if not more, enjoyable experience….
As I mentioned yesterday, Nordstrom is having their Black Friday sale and there are so many excellent pieces out there (which you can easily buy online, pick up curbside, and avoid the wild crowds…. which is my preferred method)… perfect for everyday living and the holidays! I had my eye on this camel colored, faux fur collared coat for several weeks, and when it went on sale (under $60) I knew it would be a beautiful option for just about any occasion. Since the faux fur is removable, you can easily wear it to work, or a more conservative environment… and then add the fur for a fun holiday festivity (layered over a LBD….)… or just to elevate any basic outfit….. like the Spanx faux leather leggings + soft pullover I’m wearing (both are on sale as well… and I own the pullover in several color options)….
A few other personal favorites (which I own) that are on sale include these sunglasses (they collapse and fold onto each other… and easily fit into a small purse), super cozy turtleneck pullover (I bought it on-line + picked it up curbside….), favorite black jeans I’ve owned for several years, soft eyelash cardigan, studded flat heeled black booties, these Cole Haan wool sneakers (lightweight + keep your feet warm and toasty), oversized v-neck sweater that I wear all the time, this great basic v-neck tee, beautiful adjustable layered Gorjana necklace, and this beautiful agate cheeseboard.
