Monthly Series || Favorite Products- Food, Beauty, + Fashion From The Nordstrom Sale

Happy Friday friends! We made it, finally. Sharing my favorite items from the month… from new food finds, to beauty favorites and fashion go-to’s. In light of the Nordstrom Sale Public Access starting today, I’m sharing my favorite beauty + fashion items from the sale……

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend ahead and of you! We’ll be house hunting! See you Monday xx

FOOD:

1. Trader Joe’s Cauliflower Gnocchi: Absolutely love this stuff… when it’s in stock. It’s such a hit that they’re having a difficult time keeping it on the shelves. My favorite way to prepare it is by skipping the water step and sautéing it in avocado oil the entire time. I love topping it with a good pasta sauce or my #3 favorite below!

 2. Trader Joe’s Spiralized Carrots: You can find these in the freezer section… and they’re super tasty. I’ve mixed it with red lentil pasta with the #3 dressing below and it’s super tasty. You could also mix it with some pasta sauce as well.

3. Trader Joe’s Turmeric Almond Butter Dressing: This isn’t my go to dressing for a salad, since it’s a little heavier than how I prefer my dressings, but I love using it as a marinade and sauce for noodles.

4. Chia Pods (Whole Foods): When I’m just too lazy to make my own chia seed pudding, these are a lifesaver. I literally just toss it in a bowl, top with granola, and slice some bananas on the side… it’s a 30 second breakfast and the vanilla flavor is so good.

BEAUTY:

1. TULA Probiotic Skincare Hydrate + Glow Kit: You all know how much I love TULA products, and they came out with a set for the Nordstrom sale. It includes a mini cleanser, pH resurfacing gel, deep wrinkle serum, hydrating day + night cream, skin reviving treatment pads, and a cute little carry bag…. all for $55. If you’ve ever considered trying some of their products, this is a great way to start!

2. MAC Nude Lip Trio: Me and nude lip colors are BFFs… and this one is great. Most lip sets come with a lip liner that I only use once in a while… so I like that this one comes with two lip shades and a glass. You can mix the two shades together, or wear them solo, for the perfect nude lip.

3. Bobbie Brown Shimmer Block: I’ve been a huge fan of this shimmer block for years. I love the added touch of color and glow it adds to my face. I toss it on at the end of my makeup routine, on the cheek bones and bridge of my nose.

4. Kate Sommerville ExfoliKate Intensive Treatment: I mix this intensive exfoliating treatment in with my TULA exfoliating mask on a weekly basis. I use it Monday evening and it seriously works! It’s intensive enough to use once a week, and leaves my skin glowing. This sale price is on the larger bottle.

5. BECCA Passport to Glow Set: I actually just received this set in the mail, so I can’t wait to start trying it. BECCA makes my favorite under eye brightening product, so I figured this set would give me the perfect subtle glow. It comes with a primer, powder, highlighter, and gloss….

6. Kiehl’s Hand Salve: When I went into client’s homes on a regular basis my hands would get so dry and cracked from washing my hands so much. So I started using this hand salve and I swear it saved the condition of my hands and restored their moisture within a week. I went back to using it after I had Harper, since I was washing my hands all the time then too… not to say I don’t wash my hands as much anymore… I’m just not as obsessive…..

7. t3 Micro Hair Dryer: Such a great investment. Seriously. It dries my hair so much quicker than a regular hair dryer and my hair doesn’t get as friend.

FASHION:

1. Free People Slouchy Fit Pullover:  (see above) Quite possibly my favorite Nordstrom Sale purchase…. I bought it in cream as well. It’s seriously so soft, has just the right amount of slouch, and can be worn lounging around the house or out and about. It’s a perfect evening pullover in the summer and a great cool weather option for the fall….

2. Madewell Hoodie: (see below) This has been a favorite for over a year, so when I saw they brought it back for the sale I had to share it with you all. It’s lightweight, the prettiest mauve color, and I love the slightly boxy fit. I sized up to a small to achieve a loose fit.

3. Zella Workout Tanks: (below photo) It has been so hot during my outdoor morning workouts, so tanks have been my go-to lately. These tanks from the sale are lightweight and I love the cute color options. They breathe nicely, and fit perfectly. Plus, you can’t beat the price tag….

4. Studded Mules: (see below photo) This was the only pair of shoes I purchased from the sale this year, and I love them. They’re super comfortable and come in several different color options. The studded detail gives them the perfect amount of edge. Pair with jeans, leggings, or even shorts.

5. Lounge Shorts: Anything soft and perfect for an evening sipping wine on the couch has my name all over it. I bought these shorts, without the white piping, last sale and they are still a fav to this day… pair this with this oh-so-soft convertible blush wrap and you’re sure to be cozy!… you can also wear the wrap with jeans….

6. Crop Sports BraThe deep indigo of this one drew me in initially and then when I tried it on, I fell in love with the fit and fabric. I own a few Sweaty Betty pieces and I really like them all… and this one doesn’t disappoint. I’ve worn it for a yoga session and a HIIT workout…. and I sized up for the perfect fit.

7. Gorjana Stud Earrings:  The perfect everyday earrings. I’ve worn them daily since snagging them a week ago. They’re dainty, and I love the classic look they give. They come in silver, gold, and rose gold… I bought them in gold. They’re $25, and worth it!

8. Cashmere Duster Vest: Cashmere in summer is usually a “no no” for me…. but this one is so lightweight and soft, I figured I could easily grab it for an evening out… I styled it and chatted more about it in this post.

9. Utility Jacket: This is another excellent lightweight layer for summer…. comes in around $50, and comes in camo as well. You can wear it so many different ways… with leggings, jeans shorts, a dress, or jeans…. you can see it styled below and I shared it in this post.

10. Blush Floral Blouse: This is the most feminine little blouse that you can easily wear now and later. The blush floral combo makes it a beautiful option… and the flowy fabric makes it an easy piece for an evening out… dress it down with shorts or up with some skinny jeans. It has the tiniest snap buttons that ensures everything stays in place.

11. High Waisted Black Leggings: These are an all time favorite, but were part of the sale this year. Under $40 and they seriously fit like a dream. I’ve had mine for over four years… I travel in them, work out in them, and just do life in them. I promise you, you’ll love them too.

12. Ryder Cardigan:  SO soft. I snagged this cardigan at the beginning of this year and wore it all the time. I was constantly getting asked if I could let people know when it went on sale… and now it is! Perfect to layer over a feminine lace cami… over just with a front knotted tee + leggings for a super casual look.

13. Lightwash Skinny Jeans: These Free People jeans are a favorite of mine. They fit really well and are a great option for short people. I own them in the light and dark washes, and sized up two since I found them to run really small (my thighs are fairly muscular, so I needed more room in that area….).

14. Stripe Lounge Shorts + Hoodie: The cutest lounge combo… and what I love about it is that you can easily wear the jacket with other pieces you already own…. post workout… for errands… or a casual lunch.

15. Stripe Bell Sleeve Top:  I bought this casual top last year and they brought it back this season. It’s an easy throw-on-and go option that you can wear for a casual day… pair it with leggings, jeans, and shorts… like everything else I own….

16. Faux Wrap Sweater: (photo below) This sweater is so soft, and I am obsessed with the faux wrap detailing. It is a perfect wear to work option (if you’re more on the casual side… although it would look nice with black slacks….)…. or even a date night look with a pretty bralette peaking out underneath. If you don’t want it to go as low, simply use a tiny safety pin to secure the pieces together.

18. Adidas Pullover: This is a great post workout, or lounge around the house, pullover. Super comfortable, and I love the brighter color. I’ve worn it with these running shorts (not on sale, but under $50)… and it would look super cute with the Zella high waisted leggings I mentioned above. I also bought this Nike pullover in white and I love it as well!

19. Seamless Underware: My go-to pair when I’m looking to eliminate VPLs… they’re super comfortable and soft. I wear them with all my workout leggings.

20. Adidas Clima Running Shoe: So, I own these in white + black… not enough support for long runs, but excellent for cross training, HIIT, long walks, and everything in between. They literally feel like you’re walking on clouds… and such a great price!
