The other weekend the weather was beautiful and there was nothing on the calendar, so we decided to whip up some homemade cocktails to celebrate a lazy Saturday night indulging in whatever the heart desired! I have to say, sometimes the perfect summer night involves good company, al fresco dining, and a refreshingly divine cocktail, all in the comforts of your own home.  Craving something thirst quenching and crisp, we decided on the salty dog, but modified it to create a dryer taste by using gin instead of vodka! The rosemary sprig added perfectly subtle hint of earthiness. After a busy few weeks, sitting there on our newly designed patio, feet up, Buble playing in the background, cheese in one hand, cocktail in the other, there really wasn’t any other place I’d rather have been! It was a night of perfectly small indulgences, the kind of night that makes life sweet!
