{A little bubbly for a birthday celebration}

Last week seemed as if it dragged on…. as in, thinking it was Friday on Wednesday morning. So, when Friday arrived, it was welcomed with open arms and a glass of wine. We spent much of the weekend with family, celebrating a birthday, and vegging out. I always find solace in the company of family. It’s almost as if no matter what the week brought, the acceptance and love that you feel makes everything right. Not that anything bad happened, there’s just comfort in having your “people” you can always rely on…. it’s something I hope little miss will always sense and know. So, as we embark upon another week, I go into it with a sense of comfort and renewal… and a little quote in my back pocket in case I need a little reminder….

I was wanting to work the bum this weekend, so I did this circuit workout…. I’m also working on a post with all my favorite items to stock up on at the beginning of the week and looked over this post, from last year, for a little comparison.

Since I’m a lover of elevated basics, I thought I would share a few favorites that I have found. Favorites include this muscle tank (which comes in multiple colors), this open back white tunic (one of my favorite brands for basics), and this swingy blue top (great summer-fall transition piece). I’m also venturing out to the dark side and looking to purchase a few black tops. On my list? This pretty little lace trapeze tank, this long sleeved tiered hem blouse, a drape front long sleeve top, and this feminine lace tank. I also love this striped tie-front tank dress and this off the shoulder sweater (love the slouchy look). Annnnnd, these shorts are super comfy (I’ve been loving them lately!).

I’m also looking to the fall, and loving all the florals and jewel tones (I know… I talked about that a little last week too). I think this floral blouse is gorgeous, as is this shirt dress, and I can’t decided which color I want in this little tiered option (help!). This little floral top has the cutest shape. For jewel tones, I think this navy suede jacket is gorgeous (I own it!), as is this forest green option. This top is a beautiful option to either dress up or down… summer or fall. I also love one of favorite bags in burgundy, and like this cross body option too.

And, lastly, still liking studs as an addition to my shoes. Of particular interest? These heeled sandals (perfect when paired with your favorite skinnies), these slides, and I’m seriously loving these flat booties.

Oh, wait…. a few more because everything is cuter in small sizes. I love this smocked dress, floral bloomers, and this jewel toned dress for little miss.
