A Valentine’s Day Tradition

floral dress, itsy bitsy indulgences

Growing up I always loved Valentine’s Day. I loved the little cards, the heart shaped candies, and general celebration of love. Aside from the traditional cards and candy, my mom and I would always go and pick out a cute little ensemble for the holiday. One year it was a pair of hearts and lips Ked’s shoes… and over the years, as I grew older, it matured (thankfully) into a beautiful pink sweater or blouse. It’s something I still do to this day and a tradition I plan to keep alive with Harper (by the way she already has about three different outfits for this holiday of one day!). And while our Valentine’s Day plans this year are a tad different than years past (last year we spent the evening in wine country, sipping champagne out of plastic cups, and watching Titanic), I still think it’s a special time to dress up a little bit. I love the flowy nature of this dress and when paired with the leather jacket, it adds a little bit of edge to an otherwise very feminine dress.
