Weekend Recap

CA palm trees, itsy bitsy indulgences{Friday’s palm filled skies}

As I sit here Sunday night and reflect upon the weekend, I am amazed at how much things can change from day -to-day. I experienced many firsts over these past few days… some were welcome and some not so much. Not welcome? The small little meltdown (if 7 week olds really have those…) in Trader Joe’s Friday afternoon. It was quite possibly my #biggestfear coming to fruition. We survived though. That was followed by our first 7 hour stretch of sleep (um, more than very welcome) and first post-delivery family run at the beach. As much as I dislike the lows (in the moment), I find them to be great growing experiences and confidence builders. Yet, don’t get me wrong, I prefer the “firsts” that are more welcome than not. So, here’s to another week, filled with “firsts” that help us grow and “firsts” that keep us going!

Having been cleared to work-out (FINALLY!) I immediately started getting back into my favorite forms of exercise. An area that I am paying particular attention to is my core. While these posts are old (and I mean some of the firsts we did) they still reminded me of my favorite exercises to target my core. You can find them here, here, here, and here.

Some serious spring fever over here with this gorgeous weather… which has me looking at packing away those sweaters and bringing out the lighter layers. I’m loving chambray dresses right now and have my eye on this one, this raw hem option, and I just bought this tank version (with a fun alternative tie). This jacket is the perfect layer for those spring temperatures, especially when paired with this lace tunic top. And these black overalls are a fun  alternative when paired with some fringe heels. This off the shoulder chambray top and suede shorts combo would be perfect for a fun girl’s day out.

We also put some of the last touches on little Harper’s room with this gorgeous wall hanging! This mermaid gown is absolutely too cute, as is this little floral romper.
