My Weekly Hair Washing Routine….

As I’ve mentioned before, when I find a product that works for me, I tend to stick with it for a while. Why fix a good thing when it’s working, right? This especially rings true for me with hair products… it takes a lot for me to change shampoo, treatment, and any other products that impact the hairs on my head. And, since I only wash my hair once a week, twice if I’m feeling extra ambitious, I like to ensure that the products I am using will manage my frizz (naturally wavy/curly hair over here), keep my scalp clean, and maintain moisture in my hair until the next wash. Over the past year I feel as if I’ve really dialed in a good, and effective, routine that I thought I would share it today….

Friday is typically the day I carve out some extra time to give my hair a good wash. It’s after my long run, and sets me up with clean hair heading into the weekend. I always start by doing an Olaplex treatment on my hair to help repair it. I started this back in March and have been so happy with how healthy my hair feels. I start with the No. 0 intensive bond builder and then layer the No. 3 strengthener on top of it… and then I drop Harper off at school. When I get home I use the shampoo and conditioner combo, and in between the two I use this scalp mask (I swear this helps my hair grow quicker… once I started using one my hair grew exponentially quicker than before). Once I’ve styled my hair, I use the oil to smooth away flyaways and add extra nourishment.

I also started using these drying towels a little over a year ago, and they help to cut dry time and reduce frizz… I use them on Harper as well since her hair retains a lot of moisture (she loves them too….). They would make a great stocking stuffer for any tween out there as well (and I included them in my gift guide this year)…

And if you’re looking for some great beauty items to gift this holiday season, Nordstrom’s beauty department is always a one stop shop for me with their cute holiday sets. A few of my favorite products that are included as sets this season include….

The Briogeo Scalp Revival set comes in a set of 3….
The Olaplex System comes in a 4 pack gift set….
My favorite elemis cleanser comes in a gift set, as well as some of my go-to pro-collagen treatment products
I always purchase this Kiehl’s Age Fighter set for TJ each year….
This Ilia beauty holiday set has my favorite mascara included in it….
and I always think a quartz facial roller, or this Necessaire hand lotion are excellent stocking stuffers

I’ll be veering slightly from my Friday morning routine this week though and doing it all today since we’re leaving this afternoon for our trip to Deer Valley… looking forward to a little bit of snow (chance of actual snowfall on Saturday…) and just relaxing as a family. I hope you all have a great weekend ahead!
