How I’ll Be Wearing Metallic Flats This Fall Season

I always know when fall has arrived by how incredibly dark it is when my alarm goes off at 5:30am. Throughout the summer season, I can typically hit snooze once, and then hop out of bed. But now when my alarm goes off, I have to double check to see if I set my alarm for the right time, since it looks like it’s the middle of the night. The darkness during my morning routine aside, mornings that are chilly (think sweater weather) and afternoons that are hot (think sweating in said sweater…), along with shorter days are other indicators to me that it’s time to pull out the fall decorations and officially shift seasons.

Which is exactly what we did this past Sunday afternoon. I planted mums in the pots, positioned the mini pumpkins on the patio, and dusted off our friend, the skeleton, to decorate for the Halloween season.

So with fall officially upon us, so are many of the fall “trends.” And while I typically steer clear of leaning into too many trends (a couple are usually fun each season), the “metallic” trend is one I have found myself embracing…. in more subtle ways if you will. It started with these metallic Mary Jane ballerina flats that I purchased several weeks ago (first shared them in this post). I was initially skeptical that they wouldn’t pair with enough items in my closet. Yet, as I started to play around a bit, I found them to be quite versatile, and an easy way to mix up an otherwise simple outfit. Given that, I’m sharing several other ways to style them this coming fall season in case you’re wanting to give this trend a try as well.

And with that, I hope you have a wonderful day ahead!
