It was probably about 2 or 3 years ago that Shannon and I first did the Dommer trail in Laguna Canyon and I wore a lose tank and my old cheer shorts from high school (yes, I said high school). I remember being super uncomfortable because 1. It was scorching hot and there is minimal to no shade on this trail, and 2. the clothes I was wearing were of no help in terms of movement, sweat-wicking, and staying cool.
Fast forward 2 or 3 years and I like to think that my fitness fashion (as well as my overall fitness) has greatly improved. These days, I’m looking for comfort, fit, and appeal. Because, let’s be honest, workout clothes are now essentially interchangeable with errands-running/lazy Saturday ensembles. So not only does my fitness gear need to facilitate my high impact, boot-camp-style workouts, they also need to look cute enough to wear out and about.

This local, family owned fitness wear company (which also sells adorable retro style swimwear), specializes in creating uber-fashionable and unique fitness gear that is practical, technical AND environmentally friendly! The gear is totally comfy, and, for the first time probably ever, I didn’t feel like it was squeezing me in all the wrong places (we all know those places we just don’t want emphasized!). They’re clothes that can handle my box jumps and my Trader Joe’s outings…what more could a girl ask for?!
