Weekend Snaps

We held onto the last slow weekend of summer break in a very slow fashion. Knowing we have a return to soccer, gymnastics, school, homework, and all that entails this week, we savored having no agenda. There was a relaxed dinner at my parents’ house, family walks, a visit to the Farmer’s Market for some ripe peaches, time spent at the pool, and also 4 loads of laundry (folded too… which is always considered a win in my book… haha)…

Now as we approach a new week, there is a mixture of excitement (for a new year ahead), nervousness (for the changes that a new year always brings), and nostalgia (for the wonderful summer we had together) running through the house. Outfits are being planned, backpacks are packing up, and the wait for “who our teacher will be” has begun.

And with that, I hope everyone has a wonderful day ahead!

*This week I’m launching my jewelry design collaboration with La Kaiser, so a post on that will be coming Wednesday, and I’m hoping to have up styled outfits from August’s capsule wardrobe as well (and maybe our Santorini Travel Guide).

(The last Friday family lunch of summer break… shorts, top, sweater, flats, anklet, bag)

(A Friday night spent my favorite way… oversized sweatshirt, similar shorts)

(A weekend spent by the pool…. bathing suit, shorts, hat)

(A Sunday at the park + farmer’s market… fresh peaches have been my jam lately…)

(Basically lived in this both weekend mornings… shorts, tank, sneakers)

(Only on page 70 of this one and it’s already so good)

(A summer peach salad + our vintage tablecloth we purchased from Greece for a Sunday evening dinner)

I wasn’t feeling all the fall pieces out there until the end of last week and now my “hearts” and “save for later” folders are filling up quickly. I’m looking for pieces that are more “transitional” right now- I can wear them both in summer and the beginning of fall. That being said I wanted to share some of the items I’ve given a little “heart” to over the past week:

this under $200 suede studded bag
olive green striped sweater (I love wearing it over my shoulders in the summer)
leopard print slipdress (with black sandals now, with a leather jacket later)
beautiful floral dress (sandals now, these chocolate brown booties later)
beautiful bodysuit for a date night
olive green satin skirt (cute with a tank and sandals now… later with a sweater and flats)
this black tank jumpsuit (sandals now, sneakers + an oversized denim jacket later)
and this camel striped sweater (with shorts on a cool beach evening, jeans later)

Vuori launched all new colors this week and I love the color combos with Vintage Pistachio, Golden Rod, and Aspen (they all mix and match beautifully together). My favorites (I placed an order) are the studio pocket shorts in Aspen (I bought these last year and they’re so comfortable) with the matching sedona pullover (I went up a size for a looser fit), vintage pistachio shorts + the matching halo crew (again, I recommend going up a size for a looser fit), and then the halo crew in golden rod with the villa trousers in the same color (love these so much).
