We had a fairly jam packed weekend… which left the parents more tired than the kiddos around 5pm on Friday night. I always wonder if there is a way to bottle up that endless amount of energy kiddos have so that we can spritz it on ourselves every now and again when we need a boost of energy, haha.
And as I plopped down on the couch late Sunday evening, and took one last scroll of social media before turning it off for the evening, I stumbled across this post and thought I’d share it here, as I loved the words:
“I hope this week provides you with tangible proof that you’re on the right track. I hope you can see that all your hard work is paying off. I hope your optimism is restored. I hope your faith is renewed.”
The author of the post then went on to talk about how starting your week with optimism and hope can often lead us to seek it out and find it… and that resonated with me. Sometimes when I’m in a negative mind space, all I tend to see are negative things around me… and vice versa.
It was a nice reminder as we head into a new week ahead of us.
And with that, I hope you had a great weekend and a wonderful start to the week!
____
(It was a gloomy weekend after a summer-like week)
(Snagged a last minute spot at The Farmhouse for our Friday lunch date… linen pants, oversized denim jacket (another option here), sneakers (here, here))
(Settling into the weekend champagne tasting some new favs against and old fav…)
(Soccer Saturday…. leggings, top, jacket, sneakers)
(Cutest new toy store, Odin Parker… did a little shopping for a little lady’s birthday that is coming up!)
(Closing out the weekend with a cute book by the fire…)

Some great under $100 staples for spring and summer include this chic strapless top, basic t-shirt dress, soft black jersey maxi dress, white gauze dress, and this striped short sleeve tee (one of my favorite brands for their striped basics).
TJ and I are headed to Playa Del Carmen on Wednesday for a “Medallion Trip” through his work, and while I’m bringing a lot of items I already own, I did add a few pieces, since all evenings will be “out.” I’m bringing this beautiful Farm Rio Dress, Eyelet + Embellished Sundress, and this satin maxi skirt + linen top for a “gala” style evening on the beach.
I’m traveling in this t-shirt maxi dress… and brining along my favorite oversized denim jacket…
And added a little color with this Farm Rio blue sarong and blue ribbed one piece…
If you’re looking for versatile workwear basics for a spring/summer work capsule, I highly recommend this basic oversized tee (I own it in black and white and it’s so good), linen trouser pants (I have these in the “short” and I didn’t have to hem them), and this beautiful black dress.
