Weekend Recap

When I think of this past weekend, one word comes to mind: Full. In so many good, albeit, busy ways. We had a heat-warming moment in Harper’s soccer game where they brought Camille in to play with the team, which was one of the sweetest memories I will always hold close. And then Sunday morning, TJ and I headed up to the Santa Ynez/Los Olivos area for a little work, relaxation, and play (more on that later this week).

The “fullness” of life over the past weekend has been a welcome distraction to some unsettling news I received Thursday afternoon. I had a “normal” mammogram back in March, but started having breast pain, tingling, and tenderness (on both sides) at the end of September. I assumed it was due to my period, but it continued well after my period had stopped, so I went to see my doctor. We ruled out several other possible causes with blood work, and she ordered a diagnostic mammogram/ultrasound. At that appointment, they found is very small mass (0.6 cm) that they are going to biopsy in two weeks.

The nurse who informed me, told me that 80% of these come back as benign, so that’s what I’m holding onto… those are some good odds. Yet, it’s in the moments of stillness when negativity and “worst case scenario” creep into my thoughts (like when you’re trying to fall asleep at night 🤪)…. for me, the unknown and waiting is always the worst. All of that to say, I’ll be remaining as “full” and “busy” as possible over the next 14 days, haha.

I hope everyone had a nice weekend and a great start to the week!

______

My favorite ribbed workout top for cooler weather was recently restocked in so many great colors… I also really like this half zip pullover for runs.

If you have a fall wedding, I’m loving this black deep v dress and this merlot colored velvet dress… both would be so beautiful. If you’re looking for something on the shorter end, this black mesh dress is chic as well.

This camel colored suede bag is so beautiful for fall… and this metallic silver bag is also a fun, on trend, option.

J.Crew is having a sale on outerwear and there are so many great options: love this tan puffer coat, this cocoon sweater coat looks cozy, classic black topcoat (so chic), sherpa jacket, and then the teddy sherpa jacket that I got last year (and love) is 36% off!

I some adorable dresses for little girls for family photos…. like this sequin tulle dress, sequin skirt and sweater, metallic bow dress, blush crush velvet dress, maroon dress, and my girls love these gold western boots , but these velvet mary jane flats are adorable as well.
