Woke up yesterday with a heavy sense of cabin fever. So, despite the heavy fog that permeated the air, I decided to pack up the girls for an impromptu morning at the beach. Camille and I stayed a good 3-4 feet away from the freezing water, while Harper was about thigh high, jumping in and out of waves, telling me she was warm… and the *only* person brave enough to venture beyond their tow into the water….
When it was time to leave, Harper hemmed and hawed and Camille ran in the opposite direction after a seagull (despite this, we did manage to leave without any significant meltdowns)… but they both remarked (Camille in her own way) about how much fun they had, with a request from Harper to “come back again tomorrow….” A reminder to me that spontaneity is often times good for everyone… along with some salty air (they both fell asleep within seconds of their head hitting the pillow….).
That entire story has absolutely nothing to do with the contents of this post…. but today I’m styling this tan shirt jacket 11 different ways. When I purchased it a couple of weeks ago, I knew that it would be a great wardrobe staple… and a good item to help me transition between winter and fall (I do realize that some people are living in places where it’s below zero… so this shirt jacket is for sure an indoor, or spring only, item…). It looks great with jeans, leggings, and joggers… and if you like body-con dresses it’s a great pair with them as well. I’d say it fits TTS with an oversized feel to it (so size down if you want it more fitted). I can comfortably layer a tank and thick sweatshirt underneath it.
