Getting dressed used to take me a long time. I’d sit in my closet, which was full of clothes, and literally not know what to wear. It was mainly because I had a ton of pieces that didn’t really go together. They were perfect for 1-2 single outfits, but as far as being able to create several different outfits, it just wasn’t happening. So I’d convince myself I had nothing to wear because I didn’t want to wear the same outfit…..
All that changed when I had Harper. I streamlined my wardrobe. Got a little smarter with how I was shopping… buying items that blended well together, while still reserving a corner of my wardrobe for those more fun, one off pieces (because we all need those items… they make date nights, GNO, etc that much more fun)…. and then, magically, I was getting dressed quicker + had a wardrobe that I could create numerous outfits from…
When I started to think about “fashion” content for 2020 I wanted to try something a little different with the Capsule Wardrobes… and they’ve become one of my favorite posts to compile. I’m giving you 9 outfits from March’s Capsule wardrobe post today…. a mix of “off duty” + “on duty” outfits all using the same pieces….
A note about the outfits. I have quite a selection of denim from over the years and so while I provided three pairs in the capsule, you can really wear whatever pair you want. I’ve also woven in the J.Crew Coatigan where the Jennni Kayne sweater coat could be worn since I know that’s an option a lot of people have in their closet. Hope it helps!
