TJ + I go in and out of “going out” date night regularity. We’ll be really diligent about it for several weeks in a row, and then we hit a wall. We have a wild + busy day with the girls + opt for our favorite “in-home-cozies-on” date night. After a couple weeks of those, we decide it’s time to pull ourselves together, put on some fancy pants, + take our date night out. I should also clarify here that our date nights begin around 4:30pm and we’re home by 7:45pm (we sneak in the door just as the babysitter is finishing putting the girls down)… then comfy clothes get tossed on + we resume our date on the couch. I guess it’s the best of both worlds.
Buuuut, whenever I’m looking for some fun date night (out) pieces, Nordstrom is always a go to spot. I love their Leith + BP brands for my go-to bodysuits (this long sleeve one has made its appearance on several date nights… and my capsule wardrobes….) + fun going out tops (at great prices). I recently picked up this tank style + think it’s so versatile for an evening out with your SO or friends. Pair it with jeans and heels for a little more casual feel… or pair it with these super cute tie waist pants as a sleek, and monochromatic, alternative to denim (bonus: they will also work for the office setting…). A few other date night tops that I’m loving include this fun tie-dye camisole (beautiful, bold colors for spring + summer), Swiss dot ruched sleeve top, black + white dot camisole, and this smocked off the shoulder top.
We’ll be celebrating our 10 year wedding anniversary this Friday…. so I’m thinking this outfit will be perfect (weather permitting)!
