As we were walking into church this past Sunday, one of the ladies, who was an usher, offered to help us get situated. We had already dropped little miss off at Sunday school, but still bring Camille into the service with us. She inquired as to how old Camille was, and responded that she had two teenage children, and to enjoy this time while they’re young (something I know all of us young moms have heard millions of times…)…. yet she immediately added, “this point in your life if so physically exhausting… and when they’re teenagers, they’re emotionally exhausting….” to which I added, “so, the bottom line is that we’ll basically be exhausted for the next 18 years?” We all had a chuckle…. but it got me thinking…..
How often I find myself wanting challenging parts of my life to come to a pass. Yet, if history is any indicator of the future, challenges come + go. Life is never without challenges, it’s how we embrace these challenges, learn from them, and make them have meaning that means the most….
All that to say, I am challenging myself to simply be present in my current life circumstances… however exhausting they may be!
Have a great week friends! xx

We’re making a version of this carrot spiral dish this week… except we’re going to be using lamb. Such a delicious weeknight meal. Also trying our hand at a sausage soup…. if it turns out I’ll be sure to share.
Took a rare trip to the mall last Friday and snagged these chocolate brown faux leather pants… love them for fall… plus they’re drawstring so extra comfy…. I also purchased this clutch for holiday parties, this adorable beaded headband (love the color), and these cute little hair clips (Harper loves wearing them too).
The snakeskin booties that I’ve been wearing lately are 30% off here… love them for fall/winter.
I’ve been seeing the prettiest holiday pieces lately, which makes me so excited! I saw this beautiful rose sequin dress + this white sequin dress (love love) and both would be so good for a dressier celebration. I also like this sequin sweatshirt for a more subdued statement, satin skirt, and this satin wrap dress.
We’re heading to a cold weather destination in a few weeks… love these faux fur mittens since it’s supposed to be in the low 30’s. Also bringing along this ribbed scarf from last year.
If you’re looking for pajamas for the family this holiday season we love this print for Harper + Camille, TJ + me….
Love this leopard print blazer for a fall date night!
