When cooler winter temps roll around, I can always count on a few things, one of those being a change in my skin complexion. Couple that with being pregnant, and it’s a hot mess…. everything from uneven skin tone, dryness, and an overall dull look to my complexion. Luckily I had several products in my beauty cabinet that I could rely on to quickly combat the problems my skin was experiencing…..

I’ve been using Colleen Rothschild products for a couple of years now (I first started right after I had Harper) and can always tell a difference when I run out and have to wait a week or so for my refills to arrive (that’s how you know when a product really works). FACE OIL N°9

Ok, so I’ve been using this facial oil for over two years now (have featured it in monthly favorite product posts), and it’s amazing. When I first considered using oil on my face it seemed so counterintuitive… wouldn’t increasing oil only make my face greasier, leading to breakouts? Not the case. It took a lot of facial oil testing to find the right one, but after using the face oil n°9 my skin had a glowing look, and felt intensely nourished + moisturized. Plus, unlike my experience with other facial oils, it didn’t leave my face feeling greasy…. just the consistency I was looking for.  I use this facial oil in the evenings, after I wash my face, so that the 9 oils have a chance to work their magic. (note- this is a product I use when not pregnant since it contains Retinol).

AGE RENEWAL SUPER SERUM

The age renewal super serum is one of the new Colleen Rothschild products that I started using recently (within the past month or so). I was looking for something that was pregnancy safe that could address skin texture, tone, and hydration… since I felt as if my skin was looking relatively dull, uneven, and rough. After a few weeks I’ve begun to notice the tone of my skin evening out (not as much redness) and it feels much softer to the touch. I use the serum both morning and night, right before I moisturize my skin.

CLARIFYING DETOX MASK

Hands down, my number one favorite detox mask (I’ve been using it for two years now and have featured it in my monthly favorite products post)… you can literally feel it working…. your skin has a cooling sensation when you remove it, as if all the impurities have been washed away, leaving your skin feeling silky soft. The activated charcoal in the mask literally pulls out bacteria, toxins, and dirt from the skin, and the vitamin C helps to brighten my dull complexion. I use this once a week, and then apply it as a spot treatment as I see needed.

RESTORATIVE HAND CREAM

My hands always get so dang dry in the winter season. As in, scaly. Not a pretty picture. The restorative hand cream is my favorite, easy to take with me everywhere, hand cream. I apply it after each hand wash, and within 30 seconds it has been absorbed, so I’m not left with greasy hands for minutes (sorry, huge pet peeve of mine). It’s thick, creamy, and feels luxurious all at the same time…. I never leave the house without it, or my chapstick. I also rarely get manicures, so I do most of them at home. This cream gives my hands that “freshly manicured” look I always love when I leave the salon.
