Holiday Dressing || A Casual Look For Thanksgiving

I am in disbelief that Thanksgiving is literally two weeks away from today. I feel as if after Halloween the weeks just fly by, and every holiday comes quicker and quicker. That being said, I’m so excited to start my “Thanksgiving Day” dressing series today… over the next three blog posts I’ll be sharing a casual, dressy, and über casual outfit that is sure to fit any dress code for your Thanksgiving holiday. I always find all the different traditions people have for this day so interesting…. just yesterday I was talking to one of the mothers at Harper’s dance class and she was mentioning that they have a wide range of foods at their Thanksgiving dinner… Thai, Italian, Mexican…. you name it, someone brings it. I loved it. I mean, why does the day of feasting have to be limited to a select menu???….

And same goes for the dress code. Some families are casual, some lounge around all day, and others like to have a more formal gathering of family. We tend to lean on the casual side, so my Thanksgiving outfit always looks something like this…. a cute oversized sweater or top, jeans, comfortable shoes, and some cute accessories to dress the outfit up a bit. Last year it was a blistering 95 degrees (I don’t like brining that up, it makes me a little mad…. kidding… but I do like fall on Thanksgiving…) so I tossed on my favorite cami, sans sweater, and pants (I just couldn’t bring myself to wear shorts….)…. and of course accessorized appropriately. I love Victoria Emerson designs because they easily take any minimal outfit and elevate it perfectly (I was first introduced to the line last season). They have a wide selection of necklaces, wrap bracelets, cuffs, + bolo bracelets (their newest addition)… and, if you’re looking for a great gift this season, I highly recommend her pieces. They come wrapped up in the cutest little bag! This season I snagged this pendant necklace to layer with some of the favorites I already own, wrap bracelet, and cuff bracelet to dress up this basic sweater + jeans combo for a day of stuffing my belly full of good eats (bring on the pumpkin + apple pie please!!)!
