When TJ + I got married, and moved in together, all we had in our cabinets were a couple of half empty boxes of cereal, some pasta, and expired milk in the refrigerator (this is all thanks in part to a two week honeymoon… and the fact that our condo was left to TJ for a year before we got married…. it’s something we laugh about now…). All that to say, first on my list was to head to the grocery store. Yet, I remember not really knowing where to begin to stock up an entire pantry/refrigerator. Flash forward 8 years and it’s something we both do on the regular….
Sunday afternoons are, 90% of the time, spent planning for the week ahead… mainly by grocery shopping (or, when we’re feeling lazy, using a grocery delivery service….). TJ and I chat a little about what sounds good for dinners, and I put together a list. This sort of planning typically ensures we have easy access to healthy + clean eats, as well as keeps us stocked for the week ahead (although, there are times we run out of something and a mid-week grocery store run is necessary). Something I get asked quite frequently is “Where did you get that…” + “What do you buy at ‘x’ store….” So, I thought that today I’d break it all down with everything I buy for the week.
